From the cool-climate terroir of the Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara, Canada, this Riesling comes from the old vines of Butler’s Grant Vineyard (planted in 1980), lovingly tended by Grant Westcott & Carolyn Hurst. Wild‐fermented and aged on lees, it delivers a wine of striking clarity and character. On the nose you’ll find mineral and saline tones — wet stones, ginger, lemon and lime zest, green apple and peach — with subtle floral notes. The palate is crisp and refreshing, showing bright citrus lift, pear, a touch of residual sweetness balanced by razor sharp acidity, and a creamy texture from lees-ageing that grounds the vibrant finish. At a modest ABV and with that tension between zesty freshness and old-vine richness, it pairs beautifully with shellfish, spicy Asian fare, creamy cheeses or even sashimi. A Riesling that offers both elegance and drinkability — perfect now, or able to evolve with a few more years of careful cellaring.
