Gewürztraminer, a golden wine hailing from Germanic origins is doing brilliantly well in cooler climate New York’s Finger Lakes region, and we have a little Lamoreaux Landing magic to thank for it. Crafted on the breezy shores of Seneca Lake, this wine owes its clean, zippy charm to the cool-climate, resulting in a wine that combines citrus grove fruit, lychee, candied ginger with an alluring hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, it’s mostly dry but plush and round, giving a rich mouthful. It plays incredibly well with food—especially roast turkey or white fish, but can also be appreciated on its own to get a sense of it fully cheeky aromatic character.
