In this instance, the Coriole Winery have produced a classic Shiraz, from the premium vine-growing region of McLaren Vale, Australia. The wine is made from estate grown grapes from old vines that are more than 50 years old.  True to the style of the region, this Shiraz is beautiful and expressive with mixed jammy red fruit flavours, rich chocolate, and aniseed with a subtle peppery note. Expect well defined silky tannins that just glide over the tongue. Defintely a wine that you can savour on its own, but this would also make a great pairing with BBQ meats.
